dresses

Ok so trying on dresses was a complete failior.... i mean they look nice for huge white pieces of material, but I left with nothing but a huge paper cut on my arm (thanks Davids Bridal), and a wish to be shorter.
For every dress i had to imagine it three inches longer, with sleeves, and with a filled in back....geese that is a big imagination! I do not think i am very imaginative so it was hard. However, i did come out of the dress session with a feel for what I like and dont like in a dress. Thanks sisters and mom for being good sports about the entire thing....Hopefully next time will be a bit better.
Oh and this is my dream dress....of corse it is from a random girl on a blog that I stalk and i dont know where she got it. Ha!

The funny thing is that Keri ran into this girl in target. By ran into, I mean saw across the way. She thought she knew her then remembered that is was just from blogstalking so did not aproach her. Next time she needs to though. I like lace dresses!

My Anthropologie Inspired Wedding

I know I recently got engaged, but the truth is I have been planning and figuring out what I like for a while now. I have never really dreamed of this day coming (sad i know), only the ring...With the help of friends and family I think I have found my style. I LOVE all the antique looking wedding details. Here are some centerpieces and flowers I think I like.

Cute right? My colors are dark purple (not to be worn on anyones body), blush pink, cream, and green maybe? (only in decorations). I have done my share of blogstalking that is for sure. But the good news in that after much deliberation and changing of dates I think I am getting the date and place worked out nicely. Of corse the day i wanted originally 1-7-11 (free slurpees!) is the day my dad plays Vista, the cross town rival in basketball (big deal). My next option was the weekend of the 14th but then i would not get to have it in this adorable barn!

It is super cute. And I think I can do a lot with it. Or at least hope my creative friends and family can. Anyways, it is funny that I am blogging about all this. But, I sit at home most of the day and do this all by myself and have opinions all by myself. So if my followers (my sisters and rania, maybe ailish) have ideas let me know. thats all for now.

I'm Engaged!

It is 100% official! I am engaged and super excited to marry Aaron my fiance. So Aaron has been pretty busy with work so I did not think he would have the time to come visit me this weekend. Also, it is kind of a drag to come all the way down here from Huntington when I have to work both friday and Sat nights. Anyways...Aaron ended up coming and suprising me Saturday morning. I was still sleeping, and he was extraoridinarily excited to see me. I mean he is an energetic guy, but it was ealry and i was sleeping, and I kinda knew something was up (strange occurance #1).
The rest of the day we just hung out. He wanted to go to the beach or take the dogs on a walk (strange occurance #2), but I insisted that we just hang out and eat before I had to leave for work. Or corse I choose to eat. haha.
Around 2:30 I left for work. Right when I got in the car I called my sister Tera to ask if Aaron had the ring and was going to propose to me, due to the strange occurances of him coming down when he has a lot of work, being excited, and wanting to walk the dogs...She said she did not know (lie!) and was going to get back to me. Next step was to text Keri, I figured she would tell me the truth, she lied too!! I am glad they both did! good sisters.
It is funny when my family knows something. They are super excited so they do things differently that I noticed. They call me more than often, text me strange things and so on. I learned this from when my family thought my dog Shorty died and they were being a little to nice. The same thing happened on Saturday. About one hour into my shift I got a phone call from my dad. He was wondering when i was gonig to get off...I told him the same time I have gotten off my Saturday shifts for the last 3 years, 10:30...He said to get off earlier if I could because Aaron was alone (strange occurance #3). I continued working, hating that people do not know how to tip, and around 9 I got another text from Tera. It said "when are you going to be done? I want to make a delicious cake!" That was a fatty lie (strange occurance #4). So the next hour and a half while I was cleaning I was thinking about cake! i wanted it and needed it.
I am dragging this story out because to me it is all these things that made this proposal complete. So around 10:15 I left work and was on my way home. My rides home from work consist of calling AAron, when he doesnt answer I call Rania, Will, Ailish, really anyone who will talk to me about anything but hamburgers and fries.I spoke to Aaron quickly and asked who was there, he said everyone, including Bailey, Kaci and Brian, a little late for them to be over dont you think? (strange occurance #5). However, this night Will was the lucky one who got to talk to me the entire way home. I was talking away, forgetting about all the strange occurances, until I pulled down my driveway and saw this!

I know I already showed this pic, but it fit in the story here and I had to put it again. I quickly got off the phone with Will telling him "I think i'm getting engaged." I slowly approached the stairs, with a smile on my face the entire way. No dogs came after me, and I was kinda wondering where everyone was. The house was completley quiet and dark, very strange for the Millers considering that everyone was there. I walked up my candle lit stairway and just kept saying to myself, how romantic is this!! Sidenote: if you have seen Greys Anatomy when Derek makes a house for Meredith out of candles...this is exactly what I felt like. ha! Anyways, the path of candles continued all the way into my room. And there he was...Aaron all dressed up in a suit and tie with candles surrounding him. Sounds dreamy right? I approached him and told him "this is nice." Because for some reason I express my emotions with strange phrases, when I totally could have cried with excitment. He told me some really nice things about love and life, and love and to be 90% honest I did not remember anything he said! horrible. I was just too excited to listen, but knew it was good and saw a little white box in his hand that I was incredibaly anxious to open. I did ask him later to remember what he said, and he told me so that I could write it down in my journal. His speech ended with asking me to marry him and putting the ring on my finger (he went for the right hand first). I said YES...we were soo excited at that moment. A few seconds passed and next thing I know, he is opening an ice cold Diet Coke as a celebratory drink. This guy knows me too well! We drank the delicious DC, then I asked him what do we do now. He said walk outside, so I did. I yelled that Im getting married, and my family all cheered!!! It was the best because my family had front row seats to the proposal. they were out on the balcony that faces my room and were so quiet during the entire thing, I had no clue they were there. I am really happy that my family was all there! We took pics, I sent texts and called my peeps, and then we opened some sparkling cider to celbrate!~
Here is Aaron setting up before.

Me in my Rubys costume. I am kinda glad I was because I think it adds a little flavor to the entire event. And when i show people they can say "you used to wear that to work?" Key words 'used to'

We celebrated with the same cups my little sister used. They say eat drink and be married. precious

Boom... my ring! it is sooo beautiful!

disregaurd that huge hand and look at what Aaron put on my finger. Whoop whoop. Now I can oficially plan my wedding with a ring on my finger. I love it and Aaron sooo much~! cheesy i know.

there are more pis of the candles and such, but they are all on Aarons Camera. I will post them later...maybe. I feel so lucky to marry Aaron, and the next four months or so will be super busy planning a great party!

SYTYCD

I love shows. One of my favorites is SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. I'm not going to lie, I am really upset at the way this season is going, but it is the best show ever. This season it is too fast, they are already done with Vegas and choosing a top ten. But they are bringing back some allstars. Im excited for Neil he is my Edward Cullen! haha. Im a nerd, but I am excited to see how the rest of the season turns out. If you do not watch this show, you should!

Also throughout the show, at least the beginning, they put all these sob stories up. The drug addict who just loves to dance, or the single mom with no dad who loves to dance, or the person born with a fat body who just loves to dance, and maybe even a deaf person in there who cant hear but loves to dance. I am not making light of these situations, I just think FOX has an interesting way of strategizing their productions and story highlights. Ha! because in the end, usually none of them make it which makes it even more sad. But, if you like cool stories you have to go see this litte man do the coolest dance ever! I think he has spinalbifita (worst spelling ever), and does the raddest robot ever! check it out if you think i am joking!

He is amazing right? I just really like this show thats all.

Master Master

This past month has been busy with friends, family and fun! With a little bit of work thrown in there,a little bit of unemployment, and TV sums up my life recently. I DID IT!!!! I graduated. I had the best Masters graduation ever. Although I usually dread graduations, this one was actually prety exciting. I may not be speaking for everyone but I thought it was OK. I got hooded, or in other words, Carmen put a funny looking cape on me and now I get to be called Master Miller. It sounds Beautiful.
But honestly my graduation would have been nothing without the support (AKA loudest chearing squad)from my family and friends. My family actually got to meet one of my best friends family from grad school and sit next to them, so I thought that was also prety cool. I wish I had a picture of the entire squad that was there which includes: Kaci, Brian, Bailey, Tera, Keri, Samantha, Kyle, Kate, Owen, Mom, Dad, and Aaron. They were great....and every once in a while I could here a little Owen voice "go Toni" cutest thing ever!

Anyways, after my name was called there were probably about 500 more names to be called, so somewhere in the middle I managed to sneak out. I did ram into one of the professors and have to walk in front of everyone, but whatev. Worth it! A few highlights from this day include: Carmen saying sorry (Ha) and tecting me (ha), my grandparents suprising me with pearls at my house, throwing up the entire night before, and delicious food with Family!

I know that one day this masters degree will pay off.......Hopefully! But in the mean time, it was the hardest but best thing I have done. Without it I would not have met the people who are in my life today, and they are awsome! Wow, that was a moment. ha!

For my graduation I planned a trip to Vegas....To be continued......

12 more days...

I have done so many fun things in the past month and once again I do not feel 100% comfortable writing it down here since you know it all too well. I will highlight some majors and post some pics later.

First things first. I have embraced my life of no "real" job. I figure I have an entire life ahead of me to work and use my degrees. Plus I think I have been complaining to the wrong people (Mom, Dad, Kaci, Sam, Tera, ect.). They all have either full time jobs and or full time responsibilities. By embrace I do not mean giving up on finding a job, just trying a new outlook on my frusterating search. It still is crazy that at age 18, when you go to college you are supposed to know what you want to do when you grow up. I am 25 with two degrees (almost) and still dont know what i want to dow hen I grow up. HA!

AND I only have 12 more days till I graduate. I know my family is not looking forward to this since my dad keeps on telling me "didnt you already graduate once?" or "I already gave you a graduation gift, so...?" Basically I am not looking forward to sitting through 2 hours of name calling, BUT I worked my butt off for this degree so you better believe I am walking acoross that stage and shaking someones (dont know whos) hand and getting a fake diploma!! I have 10 tickets and so if you want to come let me know. Ha.

Today is mothers day! I loved it...maybe more than I should seing that I am not a mom, but I love this holiday. I woke all my sibling up early. Even Kaci, Brian and Bailey mad eit over and we made a delicious breakfast. I love a good meal. We gave my mom presents. Moms dont really need much (at least that is what they say), and I feel that a lot of parents gifts end up being selfish ones. For example a BBQ is used by the family but represents a great Fathers day gift. A beach chair is a great mothers day gift, but you better believe I will be taking it to the beach. A pedicure is a better gift, and darn right I will be sitting in the chair next to my mom, listening to the ladys talk bad about my feet, and getting my toes done. Anyways...she opened her presents and liked them. Even my splurge to godiva chocolates next to my work (another selfish gift). After church we made another delicious meal (turkey sliders and sweet potato fries). They are Bomb. I originally used a recipe Brian gave me for these turkey burgers and everytime I add some type of veggie or yummy treat iside the patty for some domesticness.

Also today at church my dad, keri, ty, tera and aaron all ditched second hour to hang out and talk and tell stories. It was soo much fun (even though it was bad). But the funny thing is that my mom was not there, on Mothers Day!! ha. We would do that...

Thats it for now.
