Blaze

A few weeks ago Aaron and I decided we wanted to look at puppies...We do this often, but this time we took it a bit further and actually emailed breeders about their new litters. This is one of the little ones we wanted. His name is Blaze. We would be changing this, if we get him, to scooter or bruce or maybe spec. Shorty is excited!

Master Master

My Sister Tera Graduated this weekend with her Masters in Social Work!! It was so much fun to see her walk across the stage and she just looked so happy! I remember one year ago I was doing the same thing. So much fun! She asked me if I have been successful since?......I said, yes I gained a husband and a new last name. As for jobs, well we will not dwell on the negative. I think she will be a great social worker because she is so nice and listens and can play games with kids who need it. Just kidding Tera! Here is Tera with her master hood.

Here is Kaci and Brooklynn watching the graduation from our lofty seats above the stage. We had so much space, thanks to our family staying strong! But this little nugget did so good, only one tiny little cry, but I think she just wanted to be heard by Tera way down in her seat.

Aaron took the day off work to come join the celebration.

Here is the group. I know Keri, Samantha, Ty, Kyle, and the rest of the gang was there in spirit! We are all so happy Tera is finally done with school. It is such a great feeling. She is actually in the other room reading a book....for fun. Great.

Ok...so here is a shot of the surroundings of our seats. Looks like there is a lot of open ones right? We chose the perfect seats right begind the stage. No one else was around us, but we knew it would be fine because it is where my family sat during my ceremony last year. We were enjoying our seats, although there were tons of open seats around the arena, because we were to ourselves and we could see Tera the entire time. After about 45 minutes of sitting there we had 2 young men in red shirts come ask to see our tickets. We told them that we gave them to the lady at the gate and they left. The graduation had started, there was a speaker talking and next thing we know there are like 4 security gaurds heading our way. to give you a visual, we were the ONLY ones up there so all Tera and her friends down there could see the action as it unfolded. So one lady came down to ask us where our tickets were...we said the same thing. This Lady was a mean one. She said we MUSt have tickets to sit here! My dad said "give me a break, we are not causing trouble." SHe said, "YOU are causing trouble Sir." EXCUSE ME LADY!!! you do not talk to us like that! We all started to say we were not leaving and she was not having this and marched up the stairs to the top.
I followed her right up the stairs and shared her my thoughts about how she was being rude to inturrupt the graduation, how we spent a lot of money on tuition at this school, how we sat up here last time, how if we were breaking any rules she should have said that first....she then thought that I was a problem and threatened to kick me out and thought that maybe we "snuck" in because we did not have tickets. WHO on earth would sneak in a graduation!? No offence, but they are not sneak-worthy events. SOO....they lady and 4 other security people are at the top of the stairs talking with me and then they finally say.."we are not suposed to let people sit up here during this ceremony." I told them that they lacked the basic skills of their job and should have adressed that in the first place, because we dont break rules... we just lie about having tickets (they were in our pockets the entire time). I walked back down to my seat and i was just mad you know? All of us were, which is just funny because our family WOULD be the ones to get in a fight with the security gaurds.
Minutes later I get a text from Tera "there is another one coming your way." This one was the supervisor and she knew she was not winning this war once she saw the look on my parents face. We kindly told her that the timing is horrible to make us move, that they should have and could have told us prior to the start of the ceremony and then she kindly got ignored. She knew we were right...She spoke some nonsense into her little shirt mic and said that we were "10-4'd?" I gues that means we were OK'd to sit there. We were left alone the rest of the ceremony.
That story was a little longer than I planned, but man-o-man, it was so funny. But just look at all these open seats. haha.

Here is Tera and I with our gangsta Masta pose. We are representing the SDSU Masta's.

After the graduation we came home and Grandma and Grandpa Mosher drove down to take us to a yummy ittaalian lunch at Cios (or something like that). It was delicious and fun to see them! they are the best.
Later that night we had a dessert party. Tera's friends came over and we had a lot of fun eating desserts and talking. I made chocolate cupcakes with penut butter cream cheese frosting (so goood). My mom put together a ton of delicious treats and it was a great end to a fun day!

Time Capsule

When I was 16 I had a church activity where we made time capsules. These were cans filled with everything we dreamed our wedding would be. What our husband would look like (Ben Affleck), what colors I would use(purple and green), what his qualities would be (funny and hottt), and random magazine cut-outs of my dress and such. My Mom and sister Kaci found it the other day while cleaning out a room. Funny stuff.

Here is my favorite part. A letter hand written to the "love of my life." Sadly my hand writing has not changed much, but check this out! I can tell I was a little anti-this activity....actually knowing myself at age 16 I know I was totally hating this activity with all the things I wrote. But I am so happy I did it becuase it sure is funny to see what I thought, and changed.

I am happy I have Aaron. I think he fits the characteristics I was dreaming about. Funny and Hot!!!

THOR

The other day I thought I would be super nice and offer to go see the movie Thor with Aaron. I called him at work and proposed this idea and it went over well. I really just wanted a giant diet coke and popcorn and a lil date. Turns out I loved this movie. I laughed out loud a few times. I think you should see it. I love popcorn!

Side note: Today I got 7 rejection emails from jobs. The silly ones too! An account rep. for Living Social, A recruiter for Vans, a floor Rep. for Verizon, a burrista at Starbucks, an Admmisions rep. at DeVry, and a few other lame ones. I mean c'mon people! Ok I am done venting. But as you can see I do have a range on this job search.

Have a good day!

What we DO

I like to blog in sets of 3's. I also text in sets of 3's. SO it is only appropriate that I let you get a 3rd little blog post. This one is on what we DO.

1.) We eat...i love to make food. I try to make it a little healthy since both of us have a little love weight we are dealing with. I say we, I mean I. Here is a delicious Cobb Salad I made one night. A lot harder than it looks. ha

2.) We go to the beach...I guess I should also say this one is mainly me. I go to the beach as much as I can. Kaci has been meeting me half way with Bailey and Brooklynn. It makes me happy! AAron works while I am at the beach.
As you can see I am a LITTLE sunburnt. I am a lobster. I used sunscreen! ugh. But i think it will be tan tomorrow. I must be tired because this is a HORRIBLE picture. I just wanted to share with you how burnt I am.

I love playing with Bailey on the beach. It was really nice this Sunday so Aaron and I packed up the car and made the drive to visit my family who was cooking tinfoil dinners at the beach. It was fun! Bailey is so cute.

3.) We hang out with Shorty...We (shorty included) are currently on our 66th episode of 'The First 48 hours.' It is a good suspensful show about homicide investigation. It is fun to watch...Yet, the other day I was on a run outside and was noticing that I was paying close attention the the litter on the side of the road thinknig to myself "this may be evidence to a murder..." Maybe I am overwatching the show.
Here is Shorty hanging out in our tropical backyard. ha.

Dont ask what Aaron is doing in this picture. Take it for what it is.

OK that is it for now. Thanks for tuning in. Up next week. How I managed to blow my enire tax return in one store....known. as. ANTHROPOLOGIE! I need help.

Honesty

I taught my first lesson in church this Sunday. It was on honesty. A good and easy topic. I was a little nervous to teach because I felt like I am so new in the ward and no one will relate with me. I mean I have no kids, been married only 4 months, and am about 20 years younger than everyone else in the class. That being said, I wanted it to be a good lesson. To get a little extra spiritual umph we went to the LA Temple friday. It was fun!

With the help from Aaron, we made the best attention getter. The plan was that I was going to give my class cookies with way to much salt in them after telling them that they were delicious and they were a family recipe and yummy. Then they eat them and they are gross! Then, I ask them how it feels to be lied to?! good right? WEll I sparred them this object lesson and decided to use my cute little nieces and nephews instead. I had Kaci and Samantha ask their little ones what "honesty" meant. Little kate, bless her heart, got it a little confused with modesty...but understood whar lying meant. With the help of their definitions and understanding of consequenses I was able to teach a total of 8 min of my 45 min lesson planned.

Ta Dah

My husband has skills! Before we got married he was working on a painting for a friend at work. His friend handed him a black and white photo of himself and trusted Aaron with the rest. About 5 months later and hundreds of long hours of work Aaron has successfully completed his painting!

I am so proud of him! It looks great and his friend from work is paying a pretty penny to hang it on his wall at home.
He has talents! One of the many reasons why I married this man. One day he WILL paint a family portrait of our cute little (Dad I did say little) family!
I know Aaron is so Happy to get it done, and I am too. This black man has been staring at me all day and night long! those eyes can be piercing.

OH and yes that is At-at in the background!
