CJ
I Miss CJ because,,,,
1. he was an example of what hard work gets you
2. He was truly a perfect match for my little sister Keri
3. He loved Keri...even if she was "naughty"
4. He lived life to the fullest
5. he liked fancy things
6. He knew exactly what he wanted for his future
7. He always made me feel like Aaron and I are good at sports, when we all know Keri and CJ were the Power house
8. He made me want to be smarter...i read the economist
9. he always was down to eat good food with his wifey....and not afraid to admit to beastliness
10. He always brought the gospel into every day conversations
11. He made decisions...when the Miller clan could not
12. He made Keri Happy and made her have hobbies
13. He had good accents
14. He danced like a slutty girl
15. He was himself....CJ
I could go on for days on why I miss CJ. These past few weeks have been tough and confusing and crazy! I just want to let my sister Keri know that I love her. She is inspiring and has been inspiring hundreds of people with her ability to stand strong during this time. I know the future holds hard times....But no matter what our family will be here.

Blogging: It Happened
I am not a good blogger. It is way easier to do when you do not have a job for 9 months and are sitting at home. But I do have a few fun things to blog about.
First, it was my birthday and Aaron got me my very own MacBookPro. I am so excited to be converted to a MAC and am learning so much already. Thank goodness Aaron is around to help me because i do miss my right click.

He also spoiled me and got me a nice jacket from G-star. I LOVE it! I only own "fake" California coats. This is acceptable, yet I am always cold.

Here is a bad far away picture of it. Some stranger really thought she would get the entire tree. What a dumb dumb.
And my mom FINALLY (just kidding) gave me my dream gift of a box of wrapping heaven. May sound weird, but I have been wanting my moms famous wedding gift for about a year now. It has everything you could ever want to wrap a present in. Including different holiday paper, every color ribbon (fat and skinny), ribbon shredder and curler, and so much more. It goes right under my bed....when I am done wrapping my Christmas presents.

I even wrapped lil Bailey as a present. She loved it. I want to steal her.

I wanted this too! but did not get it. Oh well, there is always next year.

Thanks to a fun B-day! Hopefully I have time to blog it up more. A lot is going on. Took a few more jobs, had a super fabulous Christmas party and Aarons parents house. We won the money!

Thats it for now!

The Power of Personality
As most of you know I have been on the job search for about a year. It was getting discouraging...But then I realized one thing was missing from my resume....It is my personality. DUH! Why did I not think of this earlier.
Obviously I can not put my unique humor, sarcastic slander, and semi-bluntness on a resume. I can not put that I rather shop then read a newspaper. I can not put that I want money to shop. I can not put that I really want to teach but can not find a job. But lately that is all I want to say in interviews. Its bad. I feel like this picture of a dead cow I took in Idaho (no personality!)... Not really, but look at the vulture about to embark on this fresh flesh.

So lately I have been going around to different colleges introducing myself. I guess I wanted them to see the 'human' TONI THOMAS and not the 'paper' TONI THOMAS. Believe me the 'human' one is way more put together. SO far it has been great!I emailed 14 schools and only 3 have emailed me back...BUT all 3 schools have been super kind and nice and awesome. I mean why wouldn't they be I am basically begging to work for free. NO seriously I am.
I have learned that personality helps...and am thankful I have one.

just a little fun
I do not blog much...I feel like I talk to my family all the time! But then I remember how much I like reading all my sisters blogs, so here is to my sisters. Aaron and I got back from Idaho a few weeks ago and life has been pretty normal. I look for jobs, he goes to work, and we hang out and usually watch some shows at night. May sound boring to some, but to me it is the best ever! Last week Tera took me and the lil ones to the San Diego Zoo. It was a hot day, but well worh the free ticket. I actually thought that most of the animals were hiding in the shade....but didnt blame them. Bailey loved the baby lion, and tiger and birds. Here are some pics from the trip.
I love hanging out with my family and I feel lucky to live so close to them. Here is little Brooklynn Kay. She is getting so big! Bailey told me that she will let me have Brooklynn as my favorite sometimes just like I let Keri be her favorite sometimes. hahaha. I am starting to realize how much these little brains listen to my brainwashing.Try to ignore my lame baby voice along with this video. OK I JUST RE WATCHED THIS> MY VOICE IS THE WORST> ONLY PAY ATTENTION TO HER TINY DINOSAUR VOICE... Lets see what else. I just finished a liter of DC and this may be a problem.
Shorty Is just hanging out with here pillow pet. She cries the entire time we are in a car. I am not sure how to cure that

I think this video is better. Still ignore my voice.
(I dropped the phone during this. and the baby was not harmed)And I am babysitting and am not sure where Bailey was. Im sure we were playing our favorite game "special," I think is what she calls it.
THis is Aaron and I in Vegas before we made the trip to Idaho. I blame this place for giving me food poisoning for 4 days while in Idaho sharing a bathroom with Aarons entire fambamily! haha.

Shorty Loves Aaron
He's Back
Aaron has been gone for the last 2 weeks on a business trip to China and Vietnam....I would be lying if I said I was bored during this time, but I sure did miss him. After Young Womens Camp stuff was complete, I went down and hung out with my family. We went to the pool, beach, and to a sweet time share my dad got right on the beach in Dana Point. So fun! Then I came home in time to clean the house, buy tickets to Alaska (accidently. long story), and take care of my jet lagged husband. I have some good pics to put up, but not on this computer (Aarons). He is next to me playing video games...says it stimulates his mind. I don't know about that..
I miss going to D-land. Here is a pic of Aaron and Bailey. He is so good with kids. it is fun to see him be the best uncle. Which matches perfectly for my attempt at best aunt awards. ha.

We like to eat out...this is one of our date nights.

Aaron got me some gifts from China...These HUGE glasses were included. They are pretty sweet. They are made with crystal glass and they make my head look tiny. But I will still rock them.

Finally, this is a picture of Aaron in China. I think this is the tallest building in the world. Ummmm don't take my word on this. seriously I am probably lying. but it is neat.

Well that is all I have for this random blog. I am happy Aaron is home! and that's that. ..

Life
It has been such a fun week. I got to spend the entire 4th of July week with my family in Vista. It was my little sisters B-day Whoop whoop! Beached it up, tennis, volleyball, a run, just dance, and cuddling with the little babies! I cant wait till the next time Keri and CJ come down to visit. Good times!Heres to my sister being the big 24!!

Here is most of us on our empty beach in Carlsbad. Best 4th EVER! and i am proud because I did not get sunburnt, which led to a great beach week.

How cute is this lil nugget Bailey. She is getting so big and I think I am still her favorite. Im working very hard on it.

On another note, Aaron and I have added a few things to our lil home that make me happy. Item #1- curtains in the bedroom...umm can we say life changer. It is dark and nice. We are working on the bedding situation and the brown everywhere situation, but here they are.

AND we added a new color to our upstairs bathroom. The mustard yellow goes real nice I think. It is really hard to buy lil paintings because I always think "I married the best artist in the world" or "aaron could make this in one hour, why spend money on it?? THis is cheesy I know, but true and I know you agree if you know the man. I gave in and bought these lil paintings at target. I like them for now. Aaron does too, thank goodness.

I Quit
The pharase TO QUIT = to stop, cease, discontinue, to be released from all obligation. This is a phrase I embraced and used for the first time 2 weeks ago. You may wonder why would I do such a thing? The truth behind it is that I feel one should enjoy what they do. Maybe not 100% of the time, but a solid 10% would be acceptable.
I read an article the night before, actually several articles, on reasons to quit and how to do it correctly. A lady named Jamie Varon said that "people who have self-confidence, respect, good teamwork instincts, and a sense of when it's time to cut their losses; these are the people who succeed." Sounded like she knew what was up, so I did it.
What did I get from this? A job offer to teach at the school I just quit from. Super cool. We shall see if it works out. But either way I know I made the right decision. Im livin it up and back on the job search!
Quitting was fun.

I want it vs. I need it
My continuous struggle in life is my wants versus my needs. Aaron and I have been married for almost 6 months and I am still living (partially) out of trash bags. Do not get me wrong Aaron gave up the biggest closet and has given a home to all my belongings...But I think it is time to buckle down and buy a dresser. How do you even go about doing this? We have been everywhere but for some reason both of us are being snobs and want it from fancy places. just dumb.

But, I want to renew my Disneyland pass, and Aarons. SO this is the delema. Buying big things is a struggle for me. In the mean time I have also found a few looks that I want. Or maybe it is a need.

This could be cute in a random corner right? Or maybe it looks like a rug.

I am also excited/nervous that I will be making money now. Maybe I should re-due our bed room like this. Everything in our house is BROWN!!

That is all.

Employment

The long search comes to an end. I signed the papers yesterday and will begin on the 13th working at Everest College. I am sure you have seen the commercials on tv. I am trying to be optomistic about this experience. I know that it will better my chances of eventually finding a job I really enjoy. So for now I will sit in my cubicle from 9-6 monday through friday. Hello grown up world! Good bye disneyland on wednesdays with my sister and little ones, goodbye cleaning the house daily, gym (its just going to happen), beach days, tv parties and early dinners!

Blaze

A few weeks ago Aaron and I decided we wanted to look at puppies...We do this often, but this time we took it a bit further and actually emailed breeders about their new litters. This is one of the little ones we wanted. His name is Blaze. We would be changing this, if we get him, to scooter or bruce or maybe spec. Shorty is excited!

Master Master
My Sister Tera Graduated this weekend with her Masters in Social Work!! It was so much fun to see her walk across the stage and she just looked so happy! I remember one year ago I was doing the same thing. So much fun! She asked me if I have been successful since?......I said, yes I gained a husband and a new last name. As for jobs, well we will not dwell on the negative. I think she will be a great social worker because she is so nice and listens and can play games with kids who need it. Just kidding Tera! Here is Tera with her master hood.

Here is Kaci and Brooklynn watching the graduation from our lofty seats above the stage. We had so much space, thanks to our family staying strong! But this little nugget did so good, only one tiny little cry, but I think she just wanted to be heard by Tera way down in her seat.

Aaron took the day off work to come join the celebration.

Here is the group. I know Keri, Samantha, Ty, Kyle, and the rest of the gang was there in spirit! We are all so happy Tera is finally done with school. It is such a great feeling. She is actually in the other room reading a book....for fun. Great.

Ok...so here is a shot of the surroundings of our seats. Looks like there is a lot of open ones right? We chose the perfect seats right begind the stage. No one else was around us, but we knew it would be fine because it is where my family sat during my ceremony last year. We were enjoying our seats, although there were tons of open seats around the arena, because we were to ourselves and we could see Tera the entire time. After about 45 minutes of sitting there we had 2 young men in red shirts come ask to see our tickets. We told them that we gave them to the lady at the gate and they left. The graduation had started, there was a speaker talking and next thing we know there are like 4 security gaurds heading our way. to give you a visual, we were the ONLY ones up there so all Tera and her friends down there could see the action as it unfolded. So one lady came down to ask us where our tickets were...we said the same thing. This Lady was a mean one. She said we MUSt have tickets to sit here! My dad said "give me a break, we are not causing trouble." SHe said, "YOU are causing trouble Sir." EXCUSE ME LADY!!! you do not talk to us like that! We all started to say we were not leaving and she was not having this and marched up the stairs to the top.
I followed her right up the stairs and shared her my thoughts about how she was being rude to inturrupt the graduation, how we spent a lot of money on tuition at this school, how we sat up here last time, how if we were breaking any rules she should have said that first....she then thought that I was a problem and threatened to kick me out and thought that maybe we "snuck" in because we did not have tickets. WHO on earth would sneak in a graduation!? No offence, but they are not sneak-worthy events. SOO....they lady and 4 other security people are at the top of the stairs talking with me and then they finally say.."we are not suposed to let people sit up here during this ceremony." I told them that they lacked the basic skills of their job and should have adressed that in the first place, because we dont break rules... we just lie about having tickets (they were in our pockets the entire time). I walked back down to my seat and i was just mad you know? All of us were, which is just funny because our family WOULD be the ones to get in a fight with the security gaurds.
Minutes later I get a text from Tera "there is another one coming your way." This one was the supervisor and she knew she was not winning this war once she saw the look on my parents face. We kindly told her that the timing is horrible to make us move, that they should have and could have told us prior to the start of the ceremony and then she kindly got ignored. She knew we were right...She spoke some nonsense into her little shirt mic and said that we were "10-4'd?" I gues that means we were OK'd to sit there. We were left alone the rest of the ceremony.
That story was a little longer than I planned, but man-o-man, it was so funny. But just look at all these open seats. haha.

Here is Tera and I with our gangsta Masta pose. We are representing the SDSU Masta's.

After the graduation we came home and Grandma and Grandpa Mosher drove down to take us to a yummy ittaalian lunch at Cios (or something like that). It was delicious and fun to see them! they are the best.
Later that night we had a dessert party. Tera's friends came over and we had a lot of fun eating desserts and talking. I made chocolate cupcakes with penut butter cream cheese frosting (so goood). My mom put together a ton of delicious treats and it was a great end to a fun day!

Time Capsule
When I was 16 I had a church activity where we made time capsules. These were cans filled with everything we dreamed our wedding would be. What our husband would look like (Ben Affleck), what colors I would use(purple and green), what his qualities would be (funny and hottt), and random magazine cut-outs of my dress and such. My Mom and sister Kaci found it the other day while cleaning out a room. Funny stuff.
Here is my favorite part. A letter hand written to the "love of my life." Sadly my hand writing has not changed much, but check this out! I can tell I was a little anti-this activity....actually knowing myself at age 16 I know I was totally hating this activity with all the things I wrote. But I am so happy I did it becuase it sure is funny to see what I thought, and changed.

I am happy I have Aaron. I think he fits the characteristics I was dreaming about. Funny and Hot!!!

THOR
The other day I thought I would be super nice and offer to go see the movie Thor with Aaron. I called him at work and proposed this idea and it went over well. I really just wanted a giant diet coke and popcorn and a lil date. Turns out I loved this movie. I laughed out loud a few times. I think you should see it. I love popcorn!

Side note: Today I got 7 rejection emails from jobs. The silly ones too! An account rep. for Living Social, A recruiter for Vans, a floor Rep. for Verizon, a burrista at Starbucks, an Admmisions rep. at DeVry, and a few other lame ones. I mean c'mon people! Ok I am done venting. But as you can see I do have a range on this job search.
Have a good day!
